Why Do We Paint Bollards?

Why are companies consistently painting bollards and other steel barriers? Well of course it’s so that when people are walking your facility they can get the brightly colored yellow paint on their clothing right? Or maybe it’s done because labor to do it is so inexpensive. Maybe it’s just to make facilities look nice, because everything looks great in bright yellow. But what if you never had to paint bollards, guardrails, handrails or other barricades ever again? What would you save in labor, materials, and replacement costs when they crack, rust, or just tear out of their concrete anchors?

Last week President Frank Orreel of Boplan USA one of our vendor partners spent several days with Bulwark visiting customers and discussing the benefits of polymer bollards, guardrails handrails and the like. Customers learned about the benefits of these great safety products that need little maintenance, never need painting and absorb impacts with forklifts and other vehicles so that injuries and damage are greatly reduced.
